Walnut Creek: New electrical generation service starts Sept. 1

Service to Walnut Creek residents and businesses from Marin Clean Energy (MCE) starts tomorrow. The new accounts from Walnut Creek and surrounding cities of Lafayette, El Cerrito, Richmond and San Pablo, bring MCE to approximately 250,000 subscribers.

“Approved by the City Council in March, the change affects all households and businesses in incorporated Walnut Creek. The city is one of a handful in Contra Costa County that has partnered with MCE to receive renewable energy that will be delivered over existing PG&E transmission lines.”
