July 18th & 19 (Two Day Session). The first day of the class on July 18th will provide attendees with a basic understanding of microgrid technologies and how to assess their value and energy savings possibilities. The class covers the distributed energy resources commonly used in microgrids, their integration and control, and economic analysis. The wide variety of speakers will present case studies fro,m microgrids in different commercial sectors. Continental breakfast and full lunch will be provided.
On July 19th we will tour UC Irvine microgrid which contains a wide variety of energy and storage systems, incuding PV, batteries, combined heat and power, chilled water storage, and hydrogen production.
