The California Public Utilities commission (CPUC) will be taking its show on the road in 2017. Historically the CPUC has held a few regional meetings each year, but legislation enacted in 2015 now requires the CPUC to meet in Sacramento and in other communities outside of their headquarter city of San Francisco several times per year.
The communities that they will meet in include the following:
Davis – March 2nd
Santa Rosa – April 6th
Merced – May 11th
Sacramento – June 15th
San Diego – September 28th
All meetings will begin at 9:30am unless otherwise noticed.
At this time the only known meeting location is the one for the Santa Rosa meeting, which will take place that the Santa Rosa City Council Chambers at 100 Santa Rosa Avenue.
The CPUC, as a public agency, is subject to the open meetings laws of the state of California, so opportunity for public comment will be afforded. This will be an opportunity for residents of these communities to attend a voting meeting of the CPUC in their own community and be heard. This is an excellent opportunity to share your thoughts about the values and benefits of Community Choice Energy. Mark your calendars!
