Riverside County, CA has completed a study to test the feasibility of starting a Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program. If launched, this CCA would provide customers more choice in where there energy is produced, support their local economy, and potentially lower their electricity bills.
“Being able to choose where your electricity comes from is one of the most attractive benefits of a CCA. Brian Nestande, the county’s deputy executive officer and a former Assembly member, says the CCA could be geared toward supporting the desert’s solar industry, giving customers the opportunity to choose a power mix that is weighted toward those sources.”
